A spam banning frenzy is in full effect – DE-EVO-lution rules the day. Now, it’s more important than ever to run away form serving up junk and instead focusing on building quality real content web sites!
Oh no! The human reviewer offers your online page in their hot little hands and will read your words and appear over your web site! Sounds like I am just referring to the DMOZ Open Directory or perhaps the Yahoo Directory, having said that i am referring to Google and Yahoo!
It’s no secret, Google, Yahoo and even MSN are banning web sites in record numbers and it’s not just through the help of filters and algorhythms. In their quest to offer merely the best good quality search engine results with their visitors, search engines like google are adopting directory-like human reviewing techniques!
Search engines like google have employees whose primary job would be to surf the web searching for spam and so they can push some control and ban every internet site they are available across which they feel should NOT be on the first page.
Mainly at the top with their lists for human review are web sites which get complaints (usually AdSense type sites) alerted by web forms on the search engines that enable do-gooder surfers to easily report internet sites and point to them as spammers. Some individuals even volunteer to rat on spam sites. And if that’s insufficient, there is a good possibility your competition will put your sites through the ringer and when they uncover any spamliness they will likely rat you.
Actually, it’s very likely that it is the competition that is certainly fingering the sites to have banned since they may be angry at losing the top position to a competing marketer. The only real solution is to play by the rules! Wait – you will find no published rules… just a mantra saying do no evil…
But have you thought about those who make web sites with good intentions? They’re not evil. They just don’t keep up on all the top speak about this sort if thing and they also make some mistakes like repeating keywords excessively.
And SEO aka Search Engine Optimization – I get the sense that THEY (Google) think this really is EVIL. SEO optimizes pages for better rankings. We need to not do this – should we
Well – it’s not immoral or unethical so I’ll rise up against the big G and say YES we should do those things… but we must remember that some human reviewer may not agree with us and push the button and banish us! Ouch! That hurts!
It’s just not safe to employ borderline techniques these days. Overly hyped up pages with a lot of ads or JUST AdSense may seem to be strictly commercial. That by itself is not bad, however they want encyclopedias to rank on top too. Not just commercial pages.
This is because really pretty obvious if you attempt to find out things from the search engine’s perspective.
What’s happening is the fact there are plenty of vast amounts of webpages available that the search engines have a progressively difficult time of indexing and cataloging each of the web pages their crawlers are spidering. Combine the large growth of the internet with the proliferation of webmaster software that can build 1000s of junk pages in the push of the mouse, and you’ve got a bulging inventory of web pages.
Those machine generated junk pages are clogging the hard drives and servers of the major search engines.
To be honest that the people who are the shoppers of the search engines, happen to be complaining quite vocally this too many website pages that appear on the first page of the search results are nothing more than webpages with links to other website pages. Junk directories with scraped search engine results. Created for AdSense (MFA) sites that want nothing more than an advertisement click.
You know what I’m speaking about. Quite simply, the automated within your face commercial junk is making it unpleasant and often challenging for the search engine customers to find real content web pages.
So… to have their customers from looking elsewhere, each of the search engines are now aggressively blacklisting garbage internet sites and removing them using their indexes.
Webmasters beware, the major search engines are cleaning house and the free ride has ended. That means that the zillions of machine generated junk pages, that are presently an epidemic, can will no longer make webmasters money like they utilized to, if kdrevv money at all.
There is a better way though, plus it actually includes a long term profit stream attached…. real content websites! Yes, why not build web sites with real content that will last the exam of your time? Why build junk sites that can bite the dust when you can invest some time on things that last? That’s the ticket! Build sites that last!
